Stakeholder Engagement
Minutes Posted from March 21 SAC Meeting

The minutes of the last Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting are posted at: www.ieso.ca/sac. At the meeting, sector representatives presented their views on the top priorities for the IESO in the next three years. These priorities are used in annual business planning by the IESO Board of Directors and executive. An operational overview of IESO preparations and expectations for this spring and summer was also presented.

The SAC provides a forum for stakeholder representatives to provide advice and recommendations directly to the IESO Board and executive.

Milestones in Reliability Standard Development Available Online

A spreadsheet detailing reliability standards milestones is now available on the Reliability Standards webpage. This tool allows users to follow the standards development process and to determine the status of standards in Ontario. The columns include:
- NERC Board of Trustees (BOT) Adoption Date
- OEB Remand Process Start Date
- OEB Remand Process End Date
- Mandatory Enforcement Date in Ontario
- Inactive Date in Ontario

The spreadsheet can be accessed from a link in the new Milestones in Reliability Standard Development and Lifecycle section of the Reliability Standards webpage (http://www.ieso.ca/imoweb/ircp/reliabilityStandards.asp).

NPCC Directory #6 - Reserve Sharing Groups Available For Review

The Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NPCC) Regional Reliability Reference Directory #6 - Reserve Sharing Groups is available for review. The deadline is May 1, 2012 to apply to the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) for a review of the Directory, which was adopted by NPCC members on April 6, 2012.

Directory #6 establishes regional criteria for participating in a Reserve Sharing Group (RSG). An RSG comprises two or more Balancing Authorities with an approved agreement to share reserve. The Directory also provides specific requirements for the content of the agreements governing each RSG.

The Directory has been posted on the OEB Remand Process page on the IESO's website: http://www.ieso.ca/imoweb/ircp/reliabilityStandards-OEB_Remand.asp.

NPCC regional standards and criteria can be found at: www.npcc.org.

Planned IT Outages
Multiple IT Outages Planned During April 18-19 IESO Business Continuity Exercise

There will be a number of IT outages on Wednesday, April 18 and Thursday, April 19 due to a scheduled IESO business continuity exercise.

Market participants who enter bids and offers, particularly prior to the 10:00 EST Day-Ahead Commitment Process deadline, should note that the Energy Market Workspace system is scheduled to be unavailable between 7:50- 9:15 EST and 12:35-13:20 EST both days.

Other IESO applications will be periodically impacted, including Message Exchange, the Online Outage Request Form, System Status Reports, the IESO Portal, Metering, Workflow, Settlement Online Forms, the Reliability Compliance Tool, the IESO Reports Site, the IESO Website, and other systems. During outages to Message Exchange, the IESO will manually dispatch by phone and administrative pricing will be in effect. The times when the various systems will be impacted are available on the Planned IT Outages web page (please note that posted times are subject to change).

The IESO's Planned IT System Outages web page provides an easy way to view all planned outages: http://www.ieso.ca/it.outages. The page is updated frequently and planned outages are posted as soon as they are finalized.
