The IESO initiated a consultation on August 12, 2002 regarding the "run-in" operational performance measures used to monitor how well the IESO is achieving the goals approved by its Board of Directors.

IESO annually seeks input regarding its operational performance measures, through the Regulatory Affairs Standing Committee prior to 2005, and since 2005 through direct and broad-based Stakeholder Engagement and through the Stakeholder Advisory Committee.
